About the job:

The Finance Executive, a 1 year contract (Renewable), reports directly to the Assistant Finance Director. You will support the Assistant Finance Director and the Finance team in ensuring finance operations and processes run smoothly and efficiently.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing full set of accounts which includes Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, etc.
  • Assist in and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
  • Process billing and refunds for Accounts Receivables and payments for Account Payables
  • Maintain and monitor procurement process to ensure compliance with procurement policies. Escalate any non-compliance and deviations and provide advice and guidance to staff
  • Support in grants submission to funding agencies
  • Support in Statutory and Grant audits, Corporate tax and GST submission
  • Support in managing and scheduling meeting with Finance & HR Committee
  • Undertake the administrator role and maintain related finance & procurement systems such as e-Payment Platform, TenderBoard, QuestNet, etc.
  • Support ad-hoc assignments and other administrative matters.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Diploma in Accountancy or Finance (with major in Accountancy)
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience
  • Experience in Grant Accounting and NPO will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly EXCEL
  • Familiar with accounting softwares, such as QBO, XERO, MYOB

Other Requirements:

  • Good collaboration skills and experienced in supporting multiple internal stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to partner with an executive team of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task while demonstrating attention to detail
  • Team player with high level of integrity, dependability and strong sense of urgency
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound judgements and provide workable recommendations in an ambiguous environment
  • Positive working attitude and able to work independently without much supervision
