Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure that support data-driven applications and analytics
- Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to collect and transform data from various sources into a usable format
- Design and develop data models that support business requirements and data analysis
- Ensure the security, quality, and integrity of data by implementing data governance policies and procedures
- Work with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs
- Develop and maintain documentation of data architecture, data models, and data infrastructure
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for data engineering processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, data modeling, and data architecture
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL
- Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS is an advantage
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView is an advantage
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects.
