Job Title: PCB Assembler

As a PCB Assembler, you'll play a vital role in the assembly and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring the quality and functionality of our electronic components.
Main Functions:
- PCB Assembly: Perform manual placement of components on PCBs according to design requirements.
- PCB Population: Populate PCBs with electronic components using industry-standard techniques.
- Conventional Hand Soldering (through hole): Utilize hand soldering techniques for through-hole components.
- Hand Soldering (SMT): Employ hand soldering techniques for surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
- Wave Flow Soldering: Operate wave flow soldering equipment for efficient soldering of components.
- Inspection + Test: Conduct thorough inspection and testing of assembled PCBs to identify and prevent manufacturing faults and ensure functionality.
- Final Assembly: Complete final assembly of PCBs, ensuring all components are securely attached and circuits are properly connected.
Responsibilities:
- Read wiring diagrams and follow sample boards to accurately assemble PCBs.
- Select appropriate electrical components based on design requirements and wiring diagrams.
- Mount electronic components on PCBs and ensure proper alignment and soldering.
- Identify and prevent manufacturing faults, faulty components, and soldering issues through testing procedures.
- Understand different types of PCBs, including their layers, stackings, and assembly requirements.
- Interpret PCB layout and assembly diagrams to ensure accurate component placement.
- Apply basic electrical principles to identify positive and negative terminals/polarities based on wiring diagrams.
- Prepare wire harnesses, select wire gauge and colors, and assemble connectors based on pin diagrams.
- Familiarize with solder lead types, solder flux, solder paste, and IPA usage for effective soldering.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform cable making and machining of enclosures as needed.
- Prepare internal and external reports and documentation related to PCB assembly processes.
