The Purchasing Manager at WY Tingkat Pte Ltd is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's purchasing functions, ensuring that all products and services purchased meet the required quality standards and are cost-effective. This role plays a critical part in sourcing ingredients, equipment, and services necessary for the catering operations and contributes directly to the profitability and efficiency of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate deals, contracts, and terms to ensure the best prices and quality for products.
- Manage the purchasing budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency and financial prudence.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are maintained optimally, thereby reducing wastage and ensuring availability.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and sales teams to predict the demand for ingredients and raw materials, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing.
- Ensure all purchased items meet the stringent quality standards including periodic visits to suppliers and random quality checks.
- Handle purchase orders, ensure timely deliveries, and manage any issues related to procurement.
- Prepare regular reports on purchase commitments, costs, and delivery performance.
- Stay updated on market trends related to food products, prices, and suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Oversee the purchasing team and ensure that all processes and guidelines are followed accurately.
