The Chef plays a pivotal role in the culinary operations of WY Tingkat Pte Ltd. This role will be responsible for preparing traditional and innovative dishes that meet the needs of our diverse clientele, the Chef ensures the highest standards of food quality and presentation. A deep understanding of the Tingkat tradition, as well as the ability to cater to a variety of palates, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Craft, implement, and regularly update the menu. Ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Guide, train, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring that the team works cohesively to deliver top-notch dishes promptly.
- Source and select fresh ingredients, ensuring they are of the highest quality and in line with the company's sustainability and ethical policies.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to set standards.
- Monitor expenses, reduce waste, and work within the allocated budget.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, especially for special occasions or events.
- Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques, incorporating them to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
- Implement and maintain sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction and address feedback.
Requirements and skills:
- Knowledge of Tingkat cuisine and traditions.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or holidays as per business demands.
