We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team and contribute to building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying updates, providing Level 2 technical support, and developing software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing cutting-edge development tools and infrastructure.
- Understanding stakeholder needs and effectively communicating them to the development team.
- Streamlining and automating development and release processes for increased efficiency.
- Conducting code reviews, analyzing results, and ensuring code quality.
- Implementing robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard systems against threats.
- Identifying technical challenges and creating software updates and fixes accordingly.
- Collaborating with software developers and engineers to ensure adherence to established processes.
- Project planning and active involvement in project management decisions.
- Deploying updates, fixes, and providing Level 2 technical support.
- Creating tools to minimize errors and enhance overall customer experience.
- Developing software for seamless integration with internal back-end systems.
- Performing root cause analysis of production errors and resolving technical issues.
- Creating scripts to automate visualization processes.
- Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Proficiency in Gitlab, Confluence workflow, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Ruby or Python programming languages.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
- Experience in developing and engineering applications for local government is a plus.
