We are seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our client’s team and integrate infrastructure and application systems, promptly resolving technical issues and collaborating on cybersecurity projects. The ideal candidate will have a first experience in system setup and deployment, a strong background in software engineering, extensive knowledge of security products and system design architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate infrastructure and application systems to align with project requirements.
- Resolve technical issues promptly as they arise during system operations.
- Communicate any technical challenges or concerns to the System Manager for swift resolution.
- Provide support for maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of security systems.
- Develop detection use cases, fine-tune detection rules, and enhance overall detection capabilities while minimizing false positives.
- Collaborate on the implementation of cybersecurity projects to facilitate seamless delivery of application solutions by the development team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in system setup and deployment.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with security products: Tenable, Privilege Access Management, EDR, DAM, and Endpoint Protection.
- Proven experience in deploying critical IT infrastructure, either in Government Cloud Data Centers or on-premises setups.
- Background in software engineering and expertise in system design architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, Windows, and VMware.
- Strong understanding of security, controls, privacy, and compliance within the government services domain.
- Identify and assess risks, working towards their elimination or mitigation within computer systems or networks.
