Job Description
- Manage and resolve technical issues of allocated vessels
- Monitor vessel performance, including maintenance and repairs to meet ship owners and charterers requirement
- Collaborate with the crew, suppliers, and external stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure vessel safety and reliability.
- Assess and approve technical specifications for vessel repairs and upgrades.
- Budget implementation and control
- Approve vessel request for stores and spares to ensure correct specifications, quantity, quality and cost
- Organize dry dock and ensrue process is in compliance with procedures and specifications for vessels' dry dock inspection/repairs
- Conduct vessel inspection and ensure compliance with class/statutory regulations and company safety requirement and all surveys are carried out timely
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Requirement
- 1st Class Certificate of Competency, Marine Engineering Degree or equivalent
- 2 Years experience as Technical Superintendent, preferably with Chemical tankers
- 2 years of sea-going experience as Chief Engineer on board various types of vessels including Oil and Chemical tankers preferred
- Familiar with SIRE Vetting process
- Knowledge of maritime rules and regulations, codes, guidelines, ISM/ISPS/TMSA requirement
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- Analytical, results oriented and ability to lead, control and good interpersonal skills
- Independent and resourceful to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Able to travel within short notice as required
