We are seeking an energetic and resourceful Associate to join our Institutional Coverage team. This candidate will play a key role in supporting senior members of the team in managing relationships with financial institutions, sourcing of loan assets from these financial institutions, and facilitating the syndication of loans originated by Clifford Capital.
Working with senior members of the Institutional Coverage team, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Evaluation of projects and financing opportunities to determine suitability for financing and/or distribution;
- Preparation of presentations, pipeline files, briefing notes, board papers and other marketing materials;
- Preparation of credit screening applications to seek initial approvals, and working with the Client Coverage team for the proposed acquisition of secondary loan assets from banks; and
- Supporting in the development and management of banks and institutional relationships.
- He/she will also be working closely with other support functions such as Legal and Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations and Treasury functions within the Group for all ancillary activities in support of the secondary acquisition and syndication activities.
Knowledge/ Requirements
- High energy individual, self-starter and effective team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organised, motivated and strong prioritisation capabilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work on different projects simultaneously
- Basic understanding of project finance or structured finance structures, terms, cash flow models and documentation will be a plus.
