Responsibilities:
- With broad direction, provides leadership and direction for a Technology Department.
- Supervises subordinate managers, supervisors and/or team leaders and provides general input into project plans and execution
- Determines strategic direction with regard to policy/procedures, work force staffing, maintenance of specific core competencies, and budgeting; and insures the strategic direction is in alignment with overall organization and PSL direction
- Initiates, prioritizes and justify various projects, processes and/or initiatives supporting strategic direction. Prepares for future workload demands by anticipating and recommending the appropriate level of capital expenditures and personnel requirements
- Develops and oversees department budgets
- May lead or initiate cross functional, cross department or cross center teams in developing, prioritizing and justifying PSL projects and/or initiatives
- Possesses broad understanding of business aspects and associated technology of the PSL
- Understands and promotes Halliburton’s quality directives and initiates activities to improve service quality and acts in a leadership role with corporate HSE initiatives; represents Halliburton with internal and outside organizations, such as suppliers, universities, and customers; assists the legal department in management of intellectual property in area of responsibility
- Responsible for management of one or more product family within the Business Line
- Successful development of new products as well as the product life cycle management
- In coordination, prepares the business strategy, investment model, vision and scope of the product
- Assists sales and operations in the rollout, training and success
- Establishes relationships with internal and external customers, third parties and industry thought leaders. Accountable to bring in funded development when appropriate and to package, price and market said product families
- Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing, Science/Mathematics/Engineering and 15 years of experience in oil and gas which includes experience in product management.
- Engineering incumbents at this level will usually hold a certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer.
