ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Technical Community Development Lead, you will have the responsibility of building a knowledge sharing culture inside our Customer Engineering teams. You will also manage specialized Customer Engineers in tight collaboration with our geographical and industry Customer Engineering leadership teams. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute technical solutions and programs which ensure role excellence across our customer-facing technical organizations. You will also collaborate with global and regional sales engineering and solution management functions to ensure field demands are prioritized and met. You will develop a strategy to embed a culture of knowledge sharing, ensuring our Customer Engineering and Architectural communities have the technical depth to drive business value for our customers and differentiate the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


Qualifications

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical community strategy and execution.
  • Oversee technical execution across the portfolio of solutions.
  • Oversee the prioritization and execution of sponsored technical programs originating from the communities.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure engineering excellence from our technical Sales teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading and executing cross-functional programs.
  • 10 years of customer-facing experience in the enterprise space, including in translating customer needs into solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and architectures.
  • Experience with building and delivering business and technical pitches to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a pre-sales team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading and managing a team to grow in ambiguity in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries in a highly matrixed environment, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
