Position Summary

Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for the management of all operation facilities, building maintenance, contractors, etc. Other key responsibilities include safe management practices and ensure on-going maintenance activities to support manufacturing and building operations.


Candidates with Semiconductor, Solar, LCD industrial automation industries or smart factory experience are encouraged to apply for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Facilities Operations and Maintenance team. Supervise and lead facilities system AE, technician and contractors.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meeting and monitor Permit to Work system and effectiveness.
  • Supervise service contracts and service providers including building maintenance, cleaning services, landscaping and pest control.
  • Ensure team approach to support facilities systems perform effectively which includes day-to-day operations, monitoring alarms, and response.
  • Develop and implement programs leading to improve safety, quality and cost.
  • Develop and drive improvements in preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Proactively identify improvements and make use of information systems that increase efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance team and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that a safe, reliable, and collaborative work environment is a top priority, and is managed effectively and maintained, including contractors.
  • Develop preventive maintenance expenses and forecasts for all facilities system maintenance activity.
  • Supervise team and execution of various operations and maintenance projects providing estimates when necessary.
  • Appraise services team performance measured against established performance expectations, objectives and team priorities. This includes preparing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), annual forecasts, forecast updates, monitoring cost, Purchase Order (PO), Delivery Notes and ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with scope as defined in the PO. Participate in contract negotiation, renewals, and extensions.
  • Participate in review of operational and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance to SOP.
  • Utilize existing databases for coordinating and tracking work.
  • Research and evaluate latest industry trends. Implement and share best practices in maintenance execution. Work effectively across organizations and sites to promote best practice sharing.
  • Be a key contributor in the Facilities disaster management and business recovery process.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience considered.
  • At least 5 years of related experience supporting semiconductor, solar, or other similar manufacturing facilities.
  • Technical training in plant engineering or maintenance, or comparable professional experience.
  • Potential to manage materials which contain hazardous chemicals.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and self-managing with ability to simultaneously prioritize tactical and strategic objectives.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to motivate, manage and work with others at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to supervise and prioritize multiple projects at once, delivering results and best reliability.
  • Strong preventative management skills needed to support facilities systems operating flawlessly.
  • Ability to manage both OPEX and CAPEX budgets when approved.
  • Able to keep facilities system supporting document control and upkeep of project documentation.
  • Ability to assess problems, applying Root Cause Analysis, and developing corrective/preventative actions.
  • Motivated, self-directed, and flexible, possessing good judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teaming, negotiation skills and ability to successfully influence others through collaboration within and across organizations.
  • Must be able to deliver clear, concise, and timely oral and written communications.
  • Fundamental understanding of Computerize Maintenance Management System (CMMS) administration and the ability to optimize the CMMS database.
  • Good communication skills along with customer relations.
  • Strong leadership qualities with ability to positively influence overall team performance and earn followership.
