Job Description
• Live DJ Performances
Provide live DJ performances during restaurant operating hours. This includes playing music that suits the ambiance, theme, or customer preferences
• Music Selection
Curate and select appropriate music playlists to enhance the dining experience. Ensure a diverse and engaging selection of music genres
• Entertainment
Create an entertaining and enjoyable atmosphere for diners through music, lighting, and special effects to keep customers engaged and satisfied
• Technical Equipment
Set up and operate DJ equipment, including sound systems, mixers, turntables, and lighting, ensuring the quality and integrity of the sound and visual experience
• Interactive Engagement
Interact with restaurant patrons, taking song requests, and adapting the music to the mood and preferences of the audience
• Collaboration
Collaborate with restaurant management and staff to coordinate performances with dining services, events, and promotions
• Sound and Lighting Control
Monitor and adjust sound levels, lighting effects, and special effects to maintain a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere
• Adherence to Regulations
Ensure compliance with any licensing, copyright, or legal requirements associated with playing music in a public establishment
• Feedback and Improvement
Gather feedback from customers and management to continually improve the music and entertainment experience
• Maintenance
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of DJ equipment and accessories
• Promotions and Marketing
Contribute to the marketing and promotion of the restaurant by advertising special DJ events and performances
• Professionalism
Maintain a professional and presentable appearance during performances, including adhering to the restaurant's dress code
• Service
In instances where there is no customer at the restaurant, you are to assist at the host area to bring in guest to the restaurant
Requirement
• DJ Skills
Proficiency in DJ techniques, including mixing, beatmatching, and music selection. Experience in using DJ equipment such as turntables, mixers, and controllers
• Musical Knowledge
A deep understanding of various music genres and the ability to curate playlists that match the restaurant's ambiance and clientele preferences
• Experience
Previous experience as a DJ in a restaurant or similar entertainment venue is often preferred. Familiarity with creating a suitable atmosphere for diners is a plus
• Technical Proficiency
Ability to set up and operate DJ equipment, sound systems, and lighting systems. Troubleshooting and maintenance skills for audio and visual equipment
• Interpersonal Skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills. The DJ should be able to interact with diners, take song requests, and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Adaptability
Willingness to adjust the music and entertainment style to accommodate different themes, events, and customer preferences
• Time Management
Effective time management skills to ensure timely setup and performance during restaurant operating hours
• Creativity
The ability to add creativity and personal flair to the music selection and live performances to engage and entertain diners
