You will be part of the Planning and Capability Development Department of the Memorial Facilities & Planning Division, which oversees the planning of after-death facilities in Singapore. You will be providing operations planning capability to ensure that the Government after-death facilities are efficiently managed and operated.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Lead operations planning including process reviews and land planning workstreams
- Carry out reviews relating to department’s operational policies and work processes, as well as IT systems
- Drive and implement process reviews and technologies for adoption operationally to enhance productivity, streamline processes and to bring about greater convenience to members of public
- Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, call new tenders and execute contract variations, ensuring that Government Procurement guidelines are adhered to and value for money purchases are attained.
Requirements:
- Able to deal with complexity and ambiguity
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with process improvement methodologies and automation tools (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Robotic Process Automation)
- Experience in procurement, tender calls and presentation will be an advantage; Knowledge in Government Procurement Instruction Manuals is a bonus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
