· Lead and drive the daily logistics operations at the Ambient and cold chain distribution
centres (DC).
· Lead and coach the respective operations team to set directions towards effective and
efficient management of the logistic operations and any related changes.
· Ensure that all necessary stock management processes/tools and operation setups are in place to ensure no stock is lost in the DC, stock counts are accurate and any variances are fully investigated.
· Resolve business issues and challenges with operation, seeking best practices to achieve a solution without adding further complexity to processes or systems operation and escalate to management team when needed.
· Coach, motivate and lead direct reports, provides feedback to enhance/develop skills,
knowledge and work performance.
· Guide and supervise operations related projects such as warehouse migration, automation
implementation, etc.
· Plan, organise and direct the respective operation team to assure operational effectiveness, adherence to WSH guidelines and statutory compliances, attain quality certifications and drive a culture of safety across the workplace.
· Continuously review, identify opportunities and drive initiatives to improve operational processes, risk mitigation, enhance quality and to improve the overall productivity of the DC.
· To achieve cost, process efficiency, productivity and ensuring that perishable or
temperature-sensitive products at the cold room meet the required quality standards.
· Manage the Profit & Loss, budgeting, cost controls and ensuring the operations is on track financially through the development and effective management of the distribution strategies, policies and processes to enhance productivity, optimizing warehouse capacity and minimizing cost.
· Achieve cost efficiency through effective business negotiations with third party providers
and/or contractors for the contractual rates and services.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive growth and continuous development of
the DC.
· To operate day to day fulfilment, last mile deliveries, and achieve the optimum
productivity level and KPIs set for transport operations.
· Oversee relationship management with our contractors ensuring there is service and
quality alignment cross our businesses.
· Manage commercial relationships with key vendors such as truck leasing companies and
other service.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
· Minimally 5 years of Logistics/Supply Chain experience food grade warehouse and/or
cold chain environment.
· Strong knowledge and proven experience in managing Distribution Center and Cold
Chain operations and last-mile logistics.
· Excellent understanding and experience in warehouse and product quality management /
standards and audits.
· Strong understanding and experience in lean management / six sigma, continuous
improvement programs and tools.
· Result oriented, equally comfortable with strategic planning and execution.
· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and
collaborate effectively across business units and cross-functional teams.
· Possess strong business acumen with demonstrated understanding of the financial aspects
of operations and supply chain.
· Past proven achievements in people management and driving cost effectiveness for
CAPEX & OPEX.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and has effective change management skills.
