Responsibilities:
- Develop and write curriculum materials, lesson plans, and activities for preschool-aged children (2-5 years old) based on educational standards and best practices.
- Create age-appropriate content that promotes holistic development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
- Design engaging and interactive learning experiences that incorporate play, exploration, and hands-on activities.
- Incorporate diverse perspectives, cultural sensitivity, and inclusivity in curriculum development to ensure a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience.
- Collaborate with the educational team to align curriculum materials with learning objectives and program goals.
- Review and revise existing curriculum materials to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education to inform curriculum development.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of curriculum materials to measure their effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing the curriculum effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Curriculum Writer, preferably in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- In-depth knowledge of early childhood education principles, theories, and best practices.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging educational materials.
- Creativity and the ability to develop innovative and age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Familiarity with educational standards and frameworks for preschool education.
- Understanding of child development stages and the ability to create content that supports children's growth and development.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work within deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software/tools for curriculum development.
