Job Description
As E-com Marketplace Manager, you will drive profitable sales and customer growth on digital marketplace platform through partner and assortment expansion while consistently maintaining the H&M brand. The role will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to drive and transform the customer experience while maximizing financial returns and building the business into a strategic profit center. You work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.
You are commercially driven, results oriented, and thrive on using salesmanship to drive day-to-day optimization and executional excellence of our marketplaces. You have deep experience in ecommerce sales, with knowledge of how to translate data into insights that lead to hypothesis to test and action. Your interest in digital, product and assortment, analytical ability and commercial skills enable you to constantly improve customer shopping experience in your markets. You are an experienced and proven leader with ability to lead effectively and create results in a highly complex environment. You enjoy teamwork and collaborate effectively with a group of diverse people to achieve set goals and targets. You have a strong business mindset, communicate well and you are comfortable in making decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure marketplace profitability and customer growth by building joint selling budget, in collaboration with internal stakeholder and marketplace partners; set, optimize and secure strong activity plans for the brand on external marketplaces and gain familiarity with the commercial agenda of our partners, maximizing selling peaks through accurate forecasting and inventory planning.
- Collaborate with marketplace partners and local media team to set and deliver on marketing budgets and optimize both paid and owned channels to drive traffic, customer growth, and revenue. Explore and implement best practices for marketplace inventory fulfillment; identify areas for improvement that can lead to cost savings, greater efficiencies and profitability.
- Build and maintain brand health on the platform in terms of catalogue, content, callouts, assortment and offer, as well as own sales analysis, reporting ROI and develop sales through consistent follow-ups with our marketplace partners.
- You ensure marketplace branding experience by acting as a brand ambassador building the H&M brand in the marketplace digital environment and develop promotional events to drive strong customer awareness and conversion.
- Drive and promote a consistent, brand appropriate presence across all high engagement visibility areas on marketplace and communication through strong price and product presentation in collaboration with the media lead.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role of E-com Marketplace Manager, you should have strong commercial focus and are insight and data driven, with proven ability to drive results and work towards goals. You should have a broad ecommerce knowledge and commercial experience that understands the total picture from customer demands on our offers.
What you need to succeed:
- Marketing, communication, business development or business degree/relevant qualifications.
- Proven track record of leadership in ecommerce and digital sales, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices, as well as passion for fashion content and love to build a digital environment.
- Experience in driving profitable growth through digital channels with demonstrated ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, while balancing day-to-day optimization.
- High level of salesmanship and analytical proficiency with the ability to translate data into actionable insights; is an advance Excel, Google Analytics, PowerBI, and Tableau (or similar).
- Effective collaborator with strong stakeholder management and communication skills and is experienced in proactively influencing plans and priorities to drive profitability and total omni profit growth.
