How will you make an impact?
As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will work on a team that develops and tests software to support the instrument touchscreen software and analysis software for qPCR and dPCR instruments. As a test engineer, You will create and execute test cases to ensure completeness and quality. You will collaborate with the team to develop product features to ensure we build the right product for our customers.
What you will do!
- Collaborate with the team to prepare software documents, set up test environments and test management systems
- Work with the team to perform requirement analysis, develop test cases and execute test cases
- Work with the team to update test results and log defects to the test management system
- Writing automation scripts to automate the test case and perform automation test
- Work in a geographically separated team in different time zones
How will you get here?
- Technical degree with 2-3 years of meaningful experience as a software professional
Experience
Overall 2-3 years experience in the following:
- Experience in software quality, writing test plans, test cases and test protocols.
- Ability to identify, reproduce and describe software defects
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum development environment
- Completed 2-3 full cycle SW testing projects
- A year of experience using test automation tools
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with SQL and HP ALM test management system is preferred
- Experience with automated testing tools is preferred
- Familiarity with one or more performance and load testing is preferred
- Familiarity with API testing and IVD Software testing is preferred
- Proficient written and verbal communication in the English language
- Interest in science and ability to learn basic scientific principles
