About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer who will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and driving sustainable growth and profitability for the organization.

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives and long-term goals.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial resilience.

2. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial reporting processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and stakeholders regarding financial matters.

3. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to allocate resources effectively.
  • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.

4. Capital Management and Investment Strategy:

  • Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, acquisitions, and partnerships to support business growth.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with investment decisions.

5. Cash Flow Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and ensure adequate funding for operational needs and capital expenditures.
  • Implement policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.

6. Financial Operations and Control:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Implement financial systems and technology solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

7. Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with executive management, board of directors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.

8. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote a strong ethical and values-based culture within the finance function and across the organization.

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in financial management, with a track record of success in senior leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a focus on driving results, fostering innovation, and building high-performing teams.

Good to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
