Who We Need
The Biomedical Engineer / Assistant Biomedical Engineer will assist in commissioning, testing, planning and maintenance of the medical devices. This person shall be responsible that the medical devices are functioning well.
The responsibilities are as stated below.
- Carry out repair and maintenance of medical devices to meet requirements.
- Assist to carry out medical devices In-House Preventive Maintenance program for Hospital in accordance with schedule and specification.
- Request on matters concerning the parts replacement and repairs; maintenance and service activities of all the medical devices in Hospital under BME care.
- Observe the vendor works according to requirements and to conduct the supervision on works related to Hospital’s medical devices under BME care.
- Attend to the request on purchases of equipment or spare parts.
- Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of all maintenance work and repair work for medical devices in Hospital.
- Attend to all assigned tasks and keep work record of all repairs work and maintenance work carried out through web-based work request system (iLOG).
- Maintain complete record of all medical devices in Hospital install base. Provide detail report upon request during audit.
How to Succeed
- Possesses a Degree in Biomedical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 3 years of work experience in medical device/electronics/healthcare industry is preferred.
- Possesses a Diploma in Biomedical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification with minimum 8 years of work experience in medical device/electronics/healthcare industry is preferred.
- Have basic knowledge of medical devices networking & cyber security requirement.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft office.
- Team player with an aptitude to learn and serve.
- Willing to work On Call / Standby Duty (roster base) after office hours, weekends and Public Holidays for any urgent need based assignment.
