NATURE OF THE JOB
This is a position supports all aspects of the Global Services product lines coordinating identified process improvement opportunities through the direction and prioritization of Regional Management.
1. Analyzing current products/services, components or processes to identify opportunity for improvement. Furthermore, this position will lead in performance enhancing efforts on cost savings/value analysis, delivery and quality issues. A principle objective of this position will be to help deploy current business strategies, integrate business processes and best practice sharing and set the future direction of continuous improvement efforts throughout operations and supporting functions.
2. Develop improvement plans that can be effectively implemented into the business.
3. Working in a cross functional team environment, being persuasive and convincing to others to gain buy in and support for activities.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES
1. Team leader and facilitator of cross functional process teams as assigned to achieve cost savings and product/service function improvements.
2. Manage critical and highly visible projects from conception to implementation.
3. Lead and complete projects including Value Add/Value Engineering and Should Cost Analysis.
4. Utilize Six Sigma, lean tools and techniques, or other methods to gather and analyze data, develop action plans and implement solutions to achieve cost savings and product/service function improvements.
5. Communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of business associates.
6. Develop and implement short-term and long-term corrective action plans to improve product/service and process quality, cycle time, productivity, and equipment downtime.
7. Work with key business stakeholders and identified resources to build and maintain a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change within the organization.
8. Establish criteria for tracking and reporting value improvements.
9. Identify Process Changes and Work Instruction (WI) requirements, identify appropriate WI owner and facilitate WI generation.
10. Support regional team in PI projects - identify, facilitate, coach employees in tools and techniques in project development. Develop and deliver training programs to support process improvements.
11. Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and that the results are sustainable. Ensure that improvements can be made for future projects
12. Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operations.
13. Perform data analysis and create custom queries and reports.
14. Drive improvements of system data integrity.
15. Develop process maps, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistent and efficient execution of processes across different entities.
16. Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and that the results are sustainable. Ensure that improvements can be made for future projects
17. Establish and sustain regional Quality System
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
1. A bachelor degree is required, with 5-9 years of proven continuous improvement analytical experience in process improvement or similar role.
2. Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified time frames.
3. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment, including the ability to lead without authority.
4. Ability to apply problem solving techniques, with process management and facilitation skills.
5. Ability to confidently communicate to all levels of the organization and external contacts. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a diverse multi-cultural team environment
6. Strong analytical skills in defect prevention, root cause analysis and problem resolution, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
7. Strong facilitation skills and project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
8. Exhibits analytical skills in defect prevention, root cause analysis, problem resolution.
9. External certifications or extensive experience with as six sigma, lean methodologies, process improvement techniques, etc is required. Certified Lean Six Sigma black belt or equivalent.
10. Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, data analysis and change management principles.
11. Proven experience in establishing and driving key management systems, such as ISO implementation.
12. Proven experience in establishing and driving key management systems, such as ISO implementation.
13. Experience in the OEM equipment and service industry is preferred.
