- Ensure smooth operation of the hotel’s system and networks which extends to both front office and back office operations, as well as the point of sales system serving food & beverage outlets, call accounting system, FCS Connects and internet communication system for both guest and administration.
- Liaise with vendor on 24 hours maintenance and support services on both hard and software in the event of any system failure.
- Assist IT Manager in organising and conducting training to the user department on all software application used by the hotel
- Resolve any routine operation breakdown in any user department. To relieve I.S. Manager on 24 hour on call support.
- Study and resolve any system problem.
- Coordinate and monitor front office and back office system operations.
- Solve daily system problems, rectify error (seek external assistance if required).
- Monitor system use and ensure security control.
- Coordinate and conduct system training for existing and new associates (users only).
- Ensure regular maintenance schedule for hard and software.
- Ensure procedure for physical security and custody of computer equipment is adhered to.
- Assist the I.S. Manager to devise and implement the Contingency Plan.
