Zener Maritime Solutions is searching for a highly skilled and experienced UAV Specialist to join our team. In this Mid-Level Role, the viable candidate must not only be successful in the operation and utilization of our Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for various applications but be an all-round team player who is multi-faceted.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections to ensure the safe and airworthy operation of UAVs.
· Develop and execute detailed flight plans, considering factors like weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and mission objectives.
· Operate UAVs to capture high-quality data, photos, and videos using specialized sensors and payloads for inspecting maritime vessels and industrial assets.
· Analyze collected data using relevant software and generate reports with clear visualizations.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of CAAS regulations and airspace restrictions pertaining to UAV operations.
· Apply for activity permits and coordinate with CAAS regarding approvals for upcoming and ongoing projects.
· Stay updated on the latest UAV technologies, software advancements, and industry best practices.
· Create standard operational procedure (SOP) documents for safe UAV operations
· Train internal teams to safely operate UAVs along with conducting inspections.
Additional Responsibilities:
To have an edge is to be equipped with the following skill sets:
· Knowledge of terrestrial 3D scanning techniques, having used scanners for commercial projects.
· Understanding of Marine structures, ie: Vessels, Off-shore Rigs, Working Platforms
· Conducted NDT techniques like Ultra-sonic Gauging, Phase-array scanning and Thermography.
· Working knowledge of Class, Remote Inspection Techniques using Drones.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a UAV pilot or specialist.
· Valid CAAS UAPL Remote Pilot Certificate - with a strong understanding of regulations both local as well as overseas.
· Proven experience in operating various types of UAV platforms.
· Proficiency in flight planning software and data analysis tools specific to the industry.
· Excellent understanding of UAV systems, including mechanics, sensors, and payloads.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients and team members.
