Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support network, desktop & server infrastructure which includes setting up and maintenance of servers, storage equipment and conducting backup and data recovery activities
- Design, implement, and maintain the organisation's storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and other storage technologies
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate block storage solutions into the overall infrastructure
- Preparing reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc. and recommending enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize storage.
- Installation and maintenance of the backup system installation of upgrades and patches
- Performing backups, troubleshooting and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Bachelor degree in Information Technology/ Telecommunications/ discipline or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Backup, Storage and Disaster Recovery Best Practises and Methodologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure technologies like Active Directory, Domain Controller, Certificate Authority etc.
- Has strong knowledge with VMware, Storage, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux, and backup solutions.
- SAN/NAS performance tuning and optimisation.
