The opportunity:
We are looking for an IT support resource to provide local support for our offices in Asia. The role will be based in our Singapore office and will provide technical assistance to our staff and act as a liaison between the regional offices and the global IT service functions based in the USA and UK. You will be responsible for triaging and troubleshooting IT problems, installing, and maintaining various IT systems and devices, as well as providing basic training and guidance on IT best practices. As a member of the global IT team you will work closely with colleagues in the USA & UK to ensure alignment and consistency of IT policies and procedures but will need to work with minimal supervision on a day-to-day basis.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide first and second level IT support to staff via phone, email, or remote access
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, such as network connectivity, printer problems, laptop issues, virus infections, etc.
- Install, configure, and update IT equipment, such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.
- Assist with IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, rollouts, etc.
- Document IT incidents, requests, and solutions in the IT service management system
- Monitor and report on IT performance and security issues
- Provide basic training and educate local staff on IT systems and applications
- Follow and enforce IT policies and procedures, such as password management, data protection, etc.
- Collaborate with the global IT team and external vendors to ensure IT service quality and continuity
Our must-haves:
- Hold a diploma or degree in IT or computer science or equivalent experience.
- Be proficient in English (written and spoken)
- With at least 3 years of experience in IT support or administration
- Have strong knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft Office, and common IT applications
- Have basic familiarity with network, server, cloud, and security technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve IT problems independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented and service-minded attitude
- Willingness to learn new IT skills and technologies
- Flexibility to work on different IT tasks and projects concurrently.
- Availability to occasionally work on-call and outside office hours when needed
- Prior experience of ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence would be beneficial.
- Prior experience of working in a global organisation across time zones
