RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be part of the International Business (IB) team under the Commercial Development (CD) function to support FairPrice Group's Own Brands and Food Solutions (OBFS) business unit in its growth overseas. As an Assistant Manager / Manager for IB CD, he/she will report to the Director of OBFS IB CD and will work closely with different stakeholders within the IB team as well as colleagues across OBFS, such as Brand & Business Development, Sourcing, Operations in support of IB objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the IB Team in the end-to-end development and delivery of IB business plans.
- Support the IB team in the governance and PMO of strategic initiatives including the preparation of action plans, coordination of stakeholders, control towering of execution, and follow-ups.
- Support team lead in the management of overseas business partners i.e. distributors, and vendors to ensure sharp and timely in-market executions.
- Own IB team reporting including liaisons with stakeholders to facilitate.
- Support team lead in managing the IB end-to-end fulfillment process and work closely with stakeholders for issue resolutions and ensure an overall smooth process flow.
- Degree in any discipline with at least 5-8 years experience in business or commercial development experience within FMCG/CPG
- A strategic thinker with strong project management skills. Prior sales accountability & exposure to P&L would be a plus.
- Good stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse sets of stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and shape work, progress, and processes independently
- Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced retail environment & adapt well in a start-up business environment
- Proficiency with presentations for effective communications as well as Excel data analysis
- Experience with supermarkets/ grocery chains would be a plus
- Some overseas travel may be required.
