Our client is a German MNC, a world market leader manufacturing environmental simulation system with companies in more than 10 countries and close to 3000 employees worldwide.

Reporting to Sales Director, the Sales & Service Manager will need to lead a team and achieve revenue target for the company.


Responsibilities:


Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets by maintaining existing, and identify/develop new accounts
  • Develop and present solutions to meet customers’ requirements
  • Prepare quotations and cost calculations and conduct price and contract negotiation
  • Schedule and track orders and ensure timely implementation

Service Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day service operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate service performance metrics, striving for continuous improvement
  • Schedule and track service jobs and ensure on-time execution
  • Client visitation to promote service products
  • Develop customized service solutions and execute comprehensive strategies to increase service sales and market share, aligned with the company's overall business objectives

Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Prepare Sales & Service forecasts and reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Update customer and project data in CRM and SharePoint

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients/partners and potential customers to understand their service needs and provide solutions that surpass their expectations
  • Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential customers
  • Stay informed about competitors and industry developments

Budget Management:

  • Meet service sales targets and ensure cost-effective service delivery without compromising quality
  • Develop and manage the service department budget effectively

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the service team to deliver high-quality service
  • Organize training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge
  • Define and review service employees’ KPI’s
  • Recruit, train, and develop a successful sales service team
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure service excellence
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with service standards
  • Evaluate service engineer skill levels and improvements

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with HQ to streamline cross-functional processes


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical and/or mechanical), or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing sales/service operations teams with focus on maintenance and on-site service, ideally within a multinational company or a complex organization
  • Experience with mechanical refrigeration system is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing equipment and calibration is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer relations
  • Proficient in negotiation techniques to reach mutually beneficial agreements
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with various stakeholders
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
  • Openness to travel internationally (for training and management meetings)
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales-related tools
  • Excellent knowledge for MS Office applications, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, oneDrive and Excel skills
