- Supports management by providing human resources advice, and counsel by analyzing information provided
- Advising HODs and HR team on all compensation, rewards, performance management as well as benefits and wellness-related issues/queries
Job Description
Recruitment
- Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring the organisation attracts and retains top talent
- Formulate manpower recruitment strategies, implement and execute programmes to meet the Club’s resource management and operational needs
- Ensures a steady manpower supply with basic core skills for the business units and provides timely human resource solutions to expedite recruitment processes
Strategic HR Planning
- Partner with and provide services to business unit leaders on HR strategies and ensure that the Club’s HR financial budgetary and departmental goals are aligned with the Club’s objectives
- Formulate and implement interview and selection policies and procedures to maintain fair employment practices and to ensure good people management practices are adopted to retain talents to reduce staff turnover
- Work to develop appropriate human resource policies and standards to ensure effective, fair, and equitable management of employees throughout the organization
Policy & Procedure
- Develop and implement the Human Resource Policies and Procedures to achieve alignment on human resource practices within the Club
- Ensure the strictest adherence to these Policies and Procedures and implement changes whenever necessary to align with statutory requirements and industry standards and practices
- Conduct benchmarking exercises to understand local practices to meet new human resource challenges and trends
HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and keep abreast of the latest statutory regulations pertaining to manpower issues
Industrial Relations
- Regulate good industrial relations and people management practices to implement successful staff retention programmes
- Build excellent communication channels and maintain strong communications rapport with all HR related government agencies including the MOM, SNEF, SMMWU, WDA, Employment and Employability Institutions, CDCs, and training consultants, providers and professional associations
Employee Engagement
- To formulate and monitor the budget for engagement, rewards and recognition and health and wellness programmes.
- Planning and organizing staff activities, e.g. Dinner & Dance, festive celebration, etc
Performance & Compensation
- Review Club’s compensation structure and adequacy of employee benefits to achieve market competitiveness.
- Develop and implement a performance-based culture.
- Implement a performance management system for recognition and rewards to achieve above-target performance and productivity.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organisation
- Manage training budget organisation-wide
- To coach and mentor new and developing line managers with people management and implementing Company policy and procedure
- Provide effective line management support to direct reports ensuring that they deliver business objectives and have appropriate personal development opportunities
HR Metrics and Reporting
- Develop and maintain HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR-related activities
HRMS & HR Project
- Ensure that HR systems are enabled to deliver HR services seamlessly to the employees for a great employee experience
- Administer HR systems access control and authorisation
- Supporting ad hoc HR projects in liaison with internal and external stakeholders on data-related activities not limited to data migration, test data preparation, test scenarios, and test run
Job Requirements
- Degree-qualified preferably in Human Resource Management
- Minimum 15 years related work experience in human resource activities of which 10 years must be in a managerial capacity.
- Proven track record in working closely with Senior Management, experienced in business partnering, and developing business models for best human resource management.
- Dynamic, positive attitude with a strong business focus and commercial acumen in the industry.
- Strategic, analytical, able to conceptualize and at the same time pay attention to implementation details.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, adapt, embrace strong cultural diversity, work in multi-ethnic teams and commence immediate employment or within short notice will be an advantage.
- Ability to impact and influence staff at all levels of the organization.
- Good knowledge of the local Employment & Industrial Relations Act and proficiency in statutory requirements governing the employment of foreign manpower.
- Working knowledge of obtaining government grants
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written and a positive attitude toward fostering teamwork among associates.
