Assistant Finance Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage full sets of accounts, including bookkeeping and data entry
- Perform timely periodic closing of accounts and prepare financial statements, management reporting and financial analysis
- Responsible for accounting processes – AR, AP, GL and intercompany reconciliations
- General journal entries for Revenues, Cost of Sales, and periodic accruals
- Bank & General Ledger Reconciliation
- Maintenance of multiple business performance/tracking Excel worksheets
- Review of intercompany invoices and recharges
- Manage periodic account reconciliations
- Recording of AR invoicing
- Review scheduled AP payments
- Manage the verification/setup process for new AP and AR (Business Partners)
- Preparation of quarterly GST statement reporting
- Processing of monthly employee expenses including reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Provide analysis of periodic reporting
- Work closely with external auditors for annual audit
- Ad hoc tasks as directed
Knowledge / Experience:
- Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (SAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional company, with interaction with other business streams
- Visible and recognised expertise in financial systems, including general ledger, financial statement presentation, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivables and accounts payables.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/ACCA/CPA
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in maintaining a full set of accounts and corporate reporting
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Good team player
- Sound working knowledge of accounting principles
- Able to meet tight reporting deadlines
Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of SAP
