Job Summary

The Sports Programme Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Tasek's Football programme for children and youth. They must work collaboratively with coaches, youth workers, volunteers, and other stakeholders to create a nurturing environment for all players, aligning the programme to Tasek’s mission of mentoring beneficiaries holistically.


Key Responsibilities

a) Programme Development: Create developmental pathways and seek out competition opportunities for different player groups, coordinate weekly training and match sessions, handle programme admin and logistics, build character education into programme structure, and collaborate with youth workers to grow programme's mentoring arm.


b) Coach and Volunteer Management: Orientate coaches and volunteers to programme, ensuring they have the necessary understanding of our sporting, educational and social objectives.


c) Participant Management: Ensure participant safety and wellbeing, manage dynamics between participants, and maintain a good balance of participants of different profiles.


d) Facilities & Equipment Management: Oversee the booking and use of facilities, stocking of necessary equipment, team jerseys and other physical resources.


e) Financial Management: Develop and manage the programme budget, ensuring all expenses have been approved and accounted for.


f) Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing materials such as flyers and sign-up forms to promote the programme to potential participants, parents, and community organisations, and write proposals to secure funding and sponsorships for the programme.


g) Other Responsibilities: Assist with other events or projects as required, and represent the organisation at community events or conferences.


Pre-requisite

● A Degree or Diploma in fields such as sports science / management, education, outdoor & adventure, psychology, youth work, social work, and communications, or A-Levels.

● Played Football competitively at the school or youth level

● Possess good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively with coaches, youth workers, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.

● Committed to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children & youth.

● Experience working with children and youth in a social service agency or community setting is desirable.

● Flexibility to work on weekends.
