Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate post-doctoral research fellow to work on a funded research project that looks at the use of radiant systems in the tropics. Specifically, we will be optimizing the operation of radiant cooling panels with a dedicated outdoor air system. The study also aims to benchmark radiant cooling panels against other existing cooling solutions in Singapore.
• Perform measurement and verification of different operating modes of a radiant-based energy system installed in Singapore, and benchmark it against other common HVAC systems.
• Develop a predictive model of radiant system installed in Singapore.
• Develop an active data acquisition framework that identifies the most informative data for improving the model’s prediction.
• Organize, analyze and publish research in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• PhD in Building/Mechanical Engineering with a focus on building performance and energy efficiency
• More than 4 years work experience in academia and more than 3 years work experience in industry working with HVAC and building automation systems
• Proficiency (with a demonstrated track record) in energy simulation software EnergyPlus and/or Modelica
• Proficiency (with a demonstrated track record) in working with building automation systems
• Proficiency in programming languages Python and/or R
