Division of Mathematical Sciences (MAS) in School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Fellow.

This position is for a project on developing efficient high-order methods for PDEs in non-standard complex geometries. The hiring is in line with a university wide initiative to advance the application of Computational Science in interdisciplinary research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient high-order methods for complex singular problems
- Conduct numerical analysis for the proposed algorithms
- Draft research papers for publication
- Co-supervise final year undergraduate student’s projects
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of mathematical and numerical analysis
- Strong programming skills
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and the ability to work with researchers in group
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of PDE, computing and machine learning
