NuLife is currently looking for a passionate and self-driven individual to join our Counselling Team. As a Counsellor at NuLife, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide professional counselling services to youths, adults and elderlies in a competent and ethical manner, with specialisation in at least one therapeutic modality
- Duty Officer for walk-in and call-in clients
- Conduct intake assessments for new clients
- Prepare and maintain proper counselling reports and assessments for interventions plans conducted for assigned clients
- Attend group supervision, case conferences and other professional development training as arranged by the organisation
- Conduct research studies, needs assessments and programme evaluation projects as assigned
- Facilitate programmes for community outreach (e.g. provision of pre-loved furniture, repair & refurbishment of homes, distribution of food rations)
- Facilitate client registration and onboarding processes
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with community partners and agencies to deliver mental wellness-related programmes that benefit the wider community
- Develop and review SOPs, assessment tools, databases, forms, guidelines and workflows for counselling services processes and service standards
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology or equivalent and with relevant professional accreditation
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in social service sector and/or counselling settings
- Possess excellent verbal communications and writing skills
- Able to speak fluently in English
- Able to speak in other languages (Mandarin, Tamil or Malay) and other dialects (e.g. Hokkien, Cantonese etc) – To state clearly in CV
- Good organisation and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Promote the organisation and its services through Social Media platforms
- Added advantage if able to conduct online and/or face to face talks, workshops and programmes on counselling related topics and mental wellness
