Reporting to Principal on teaching and administration matters, this role is a dedicated internal and external client service position, involving teaching, program development, and parental engagement, co-operatively with all team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, framework and philosophy of MindChamps.
- Prepare age-appropriate teaching aids and implement the programs in class.
- Keep accurate records of the Champs’ progress. Address each Champ’s educational and developmental needs on an individual basis to the best of your ability. Complete progress reports and a developmental portfolio of each Champ for each semester.
- Meet with parents to address any concerns or requests. Communicate with parents via the Connection Book at least once a week, weekly update, newsletters and Parent-Teacher conferences.
- Use positive guidance strategies and techniques at all times.
- Guide and supervise Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
- Render basic first aid as and when necessary.
- Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with the Champs and their parents.
- Supervise and mentor teachers in their delivery of the programme for their classes across different levels.
- Assist the Principal with added responsibilities such as vetting of the newsletters/progress reports/portfolios, organization of events and planning of excursions.
- Conduct in house training for teachers.
- Support the Principal with management of parents’ feedback.
