Role and Responsibilities
- To carry out in vitro or in vivo research on tocotrienols/phytonutrients/oleochemicals for various human health applications;
- To conduct human clinical trials in collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs);
- Publish scientific manuscripts in international journals;
- Work closely with fellow researchers in the R&D for effective project implementation;
- Make presentation on projects within and outside the company;
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment;
- Perform inventory update for laboratory consumables and trial materials;
- Perform general maintenance of the lab facilities;
- To build up in-house database of research results of tocotrienols and other necessary products;
- Any other tasks/projects as assigned to you by the Head of Biological Research from time to time.
Job Success Requirements
- Master or Ph.D. in Biology/Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences or equivalents with at least 3 to 5 years working experience
- Have extensive bench work experience in biological research in mammalian cell culture, genomic & proteomic analysis. The lab techniques require including qPCR, cDNA microarray, western blotting, ELISA assay, flow cytometry, fluorescence imaging;
- Preferably the candidate has knowledge and prior experience in clinical trial management and coordination;
- Proven publication record in international scientific peer-reviewed journals;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and uses data to generate ideas and develop solutions;
- Have thorough understanding & fundamental concepts in biology and pharmacology for experimental troubleshooting & optimization;
- Be highly motivate, independent and present strong interest in a fast-paced environment;
- Competent in Microsoft Office, bibliography software (Endnote or Mendeley), GraphPad Prism, SPSS or other analytical tools.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English
