The Role
Reporting to the company accountant in Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of numerous financial activities including monthly management accounts, reporting and KPIs for our Asia-Pacific region which encompasses companies in both Singapore and Japan within a growing global business.
Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of financial recording and reporting for our Japanese and Singapore business units including: posting of all AP and AR transactions, journal posting, updating of schedules such as fixed assets, etc.
- Manage accounting data and information in spreadsheets or software.
- Handle petty cash expenses including office expenses and travel allowances for employees.
- Process employee payments such as: expense claims, secondment (mobility) costs, payroll preparations, etc.
- Completion and submission of tax returns and other required filings to respective governments in Singapore and Japan.
- Assist the Singapore monthly management accounts
- Assist with yearly audits
- Prepare annual financial budgets for both Singapore and Japan
- Other ad hoc duties as required by management
Criteria
- Must have local professional accountancy accreditation such as: CPA, ACCA, Singapore CA, etc. Please state this in your CV.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in accounting field.
- Must have knowledge of GST
- Must have experience in year-end reporting and audits
- Must have experience in management accounts, budgeting and variances
- Good knowledge of MS suite especially Excel; experienced in accounting software
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
- Demonstrate teamwork within local and global teams
- Organised and able to communicate clearly
