Job description
- Create opportunities at the early stages of the design process to enable products to be specified.
- Generate leads from consultant engineers, architects and government bodies and secure maximum product specification in line with the Company’ sales plan.
- Provide specification support to the sales department for ongoing contracts when required.
Responsibilities
- Call on Consultant Engineers, Architects, Government Departments and Client bodies to allow products to be specified.
- Liaise closely with the sales team when calling on prospective customers at the pre tender stages in order that a product submission can be made.
- Introduce new products to major Contractors, Consultant Engineers, Architects and Client bodies
- Produce and deliver technical presentations.
- Produce and deliver product training presentations to staff or clients.
- Participate in the monthly sales meetings in support of the BPM processes.
- Compilation of reports and forecasts as required. Including project pipelines and Sales Action Plans.
- Develop and implement specification plan that is aligned with the Group Strategic Goals specifically in terms of growth and market share. To feed into the 5 year rolling Business Plan.
- Awareness of competitors activities and identify relevant threats and opportunities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior, Regional Head of Commercial, or Vice President
Skills required
- 3 years working experience as a Specification/Sales Manager in the Building and Construction industry.
- 5 years' experience managing and promoting high specification industrial products.
Educational requirements
Civil Engineering qualification or appropriate experience
