Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Regional Media Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for operating as a key member of a client team, working closely with specialist units such as strategic planning, performance and digital team to develop integrated communication solutions for clients.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
- Immediate immersion on the accounts/brands and getting to know the clients, business partners and internal working teams.
- Learn and apply Wavemaker proprietary planning tools in deriving insights to deliver sound media recommendations and set appropriate measurement metrics.
- Able to lead campaign briefs with minimal supervision, providing strategic recommendation with strong insights (collaboration with Strategic team) and channel tactics.
- Good time management and able to follow through on process and delivery timelines.
- Develop strong bond and working relationship with the team, and be able to coach and groom direct report(s).
- Demonstrate good collaboration with various stakeholders.
In six months:
- Established strong team and client relationship, and to be the first port of call by client.
- Identify new opportunities and innovative media ideas for regional
- Identify bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
- Facilitate quarterly revenue projections for financial reporting
In 12 months:
- Build trusted advisor relationship as business partner.
- Deliver good campaigns with strong business results worthy of case study/awards submission.
- Conduct annual business review for growth planning
- Achieve positive assessment from clients
What your day job looks like at Wavemaker:
Client Development
- Ownership of media strategy and campaign delivery across regional designated clients.
- Support relationship development with key regional clients – be the go-to for marketing opinion and advice.
- Up-selling of diversified products, including proprietary media.
Talent Management & Development
- Manage career development of team members in all relevant aspects: to educate and equip.
What you’ll bring:
- A meticulous and organized integrator who can prioritise and manage tasks with minimal supervision. You are also an independent manager and at the same time strong team player who collaborates well with a team.
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills is an important prerequisite, as you will be working with stakeholders including clients, media vendors and internal cross-functional teams. Your eagerness to build good rapport and cultivate “trusted advisor” relationship will be an important attribute to success.
- Being a member of the team, you will be jointly responsible for delivering best-in-class work to clients in driving growth for Wavemaker. We seek an individual with inquisitive and analytical mind, who is rigorous in work approach and delivery. Not afraid to push envelope or challenge the norm; and have a keen interest to improve operational efficiency.
- You must be highly motivated to drive success not only for the team but for agency as well. You will help bring to life Wavemaker’s culture of positive provocation with a growth mindset and a can-do attitude. You will seek to actively contribute/support agency-wide initiatives outside your immediate team scope when required.
Minimum qualifications:
- 5 + years of managerial experience in integrated Media.
- Media agency experience preferred.
- Knowledge in cross-functional planning across SEO, SEM and Social & Performance media is an advantage.
