Our client is seeking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join their team as either Deputy Director or Director of Admissions. This role offers a unique opportunity for candidates to shape the future of our admissions processes and play a significant role in the growth and success of the university.


This role reports to Chief of Staff (Student Affairs) and works closely with university leadership.


The responsibilities of this role are:


Admissions Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the university's mission and enrollment objectives.
  • Work closely with university leadership to set annual admissions objectives and goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine admissions processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Employ data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Outreach and Partnerships:

  • Design and execute innovative outreach initiatives, programmes, and events to engage prospective students, parents, and educators effectively
  • Oversee the engagement and retention of pre-accepted and pre-enrolled students
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions and strategic partners
  • Act as a dedicated advocate for the university, actively participating in educational and networking events

Admissions Evaluation and Selection:

  • Oversee the comprehensive evaluation of applications, interviews, transcripts, and other admission-related documentation.
  • Lead the selection process for admitting students based on established criteria.
  • Ensure a fair and holistic review process that considers academic, extracurricular, and personal achievements.
  • Collaborate with Office of IT to enhance all systems supporting admissions operations.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:

  • Shape and award scholarships and financial aid packages effectively
  • Collaborate closely with the Office of Advancement and Office of Student Administration to develop financial aid packages and scholarship opportunities
  • Ensure that scholarship programmes align with the university's mission and strategic goals

Leadership and Talent Development:

  • Inspire, supervise, mentor, and motivate the admissions staff to achieve departmental and university objectives.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the university.
  • Work in close alignment with the Chief of Staff on Student Affairs-wide efforts to enhance the student experience.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

  • Possess a recognized degree from a university
  • Have a minimum of 14 years of working experience in student admissions, business development, account management and/or strategy roles
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage multiple complex tasks and adapt to a changing environments
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit creativity, a willingness to to challenge norms, resourcefulness, a goal-orientated mindset, independence, and strong teamwork abilities.
  • Previous experience in team management and/or working within a university setting
  • Strong design-thinking and systems-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • A deep understanding of talent needs across various industries.
