Job Overview


The Purchasing & Receiving Executive is responsible for the sourcing of quotations and purchasing of perishable and non-perishable items for all user departments, and coordinates all administrative matters within the department and other departments on purchases. The individual ensures that all Purchase Requests are in proper order as per hotel policies and procedures, obtains competitive quotations and sources for new products for cost effectiveness, and monitors market trends and prices for all products.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all administrative matters within the department and other departments on purchases
  • Process the Daily Market List Purchase Requests (PRs)
  • Calling of quotations / Perishable Tenders
  • Handling/consolidating/analyzing/negotiating with all price quotes for perishable purchases
  • Obtain products/goods at competitive prices without compromise the desired quality standard
  • Check the incoming goods according to POs and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc)
  • Contact supplier if a mistake is identified
  • Posting of Invoices into the system
  • Keep abreast of the changing market conditions regulating price increase, new products
  • Site visit to supplier factory/plants


Talent Profile

  • Minimum Diploma Education
  • Understanding of Purchasing principles and processes
  • Experience with Purchasing systems (preferred)
  • Analytical and have the ability to solve purchasing and inventory related problems
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Proactive, highly motivated and flexible
  • Highly organized
  • Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
