What will you do?
In this position, you will join our growing Environment business in Singapore and across Asia-Pacific, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of all types of environmental projects in various industries.
We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it is the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
- Grow the Ecology business by identifying and pursuing business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Develop the ecology go-to-market plan and lead the execution of such plan working closely with the various market leaders across the SECS/Aurecon network.
- Act as a technical advisor/leader for ecology consultancy projects for clients, focusing on impact assessments, baseline surveys, ecological enhancements, nature-based solutions, biodiversity strategies, etc.
- Work closely with our branding, marketing and communications team to develop service-specific promotional and marketing materials. Lead marketing and branding events, including conferences, exhibitions, etc.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams, ensure quality and timely delivery of project outputs to the client’s expectations.
- Identify and nurture talents to build the ecology team and demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of SECS/Aurecon’s business.

What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:
- Masters’ / bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering or any relevant degree, with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in ecology / environment business. Prior experience in consultancy would be advantageous.
- Have a commercial mindset and the ability and appetite to develop business by winning work (existing and new clients).
- Have a good understanding of current local and international trends and developments on ecology/biodiversity including biodiversity impact assessments, biodiversity strategies, nature-based solutions, etc.
- Have a good understanding of government and private sector’s biodiversity priorities and ability to advise senior executives on ecology-related issues, risks, opportunities and strategies.
- Have the ability to lead multiple consultancy projects and project teams while meeting deadlines and client’s expectations.
- Have the fluency in English. Knowledge of one or more Asian languages and industry accreditations will be advantageous.
