The Digital Marketing & Events Specialist will be responsible for developing, initiating, creating and overseeing a long-term digital marketing campaign as well as short-term advertising and marketing solutions to drive guest engagement & loyalty and drive revenue for the F&B business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Marketing
- Develop and manage overall strategic marketing plans and strategies to drive revenue performance and greater guest experiences for the restaurant.
- Drive tactical promotional activities, campaigns, initiatives, etc. to achieve greater revenue and/or guest experience and engagement.
- Develop a schedule of mailings of updates, press releases, advisories, promotions as well as newsworthy events taking place in and around the restaurant to the appropriate media contacts.
- Build and maintain a strong updated database and relationship of local media contacts.
- Conduct appropriate site visits and follow through with post-visit communication to the stakeholders.
- Strategise and implement digital media plans to build online communities and advocates on various social media platforms. effectively.
- Create content and develop new concepts to build social media presence across key social networks including Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin, etc.
- Work with appointed design houses to conceptualise the design and production of related collaterals, printed materials, etc.
- Generate regular reports on key performance metrics and analyse results of all marketing efforts.
Events
- Ensure established events financial goals are met for F&B business by driving and soliciting various events opportunities.
- Continuously seek ways to maximise F&B revenues and profits through sales calls, networking events and partnerships, etc.
- Communicate on a weekly/monthly basis with the F&B Manager to review the event revenues/activities and develop plans to achieve the set targets.
- Propose new revenue avenues and trends for events and develop effective positioning/marketing plans.
- Be the key contact person for any event enquiries and follow up on leads efficiently and promptly.
- Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all event sales calls.
- Conduct site inspection.
- Prepare events contracts and to secure deposits and payments etc.
- Be familiar and comply with local legislation for any event execution.
- Ensure that all the events are managed efficiently according to the established agreement and operating guidelines.
- Work closely, cooperate and communicate with the F&B service and kitchen team to ensure high level of guest experience.
- Establish good rapport with events organiser, maintaining good relationship and handle all related feedback, requests and enquiries.
- Ensure the event organisers/guests attending the event are receiving the best possible service and conduct post-event follow up with them.
- Perform all events-related administrative duties such as preparation of proposals/ contracts / internal event orders, prepare reports, follow up on billing matters, maintaining customer databases, conduct market research etc.
- Plan, drive and coordinate annual Mithai sales project with all stakeholders effectively.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position with strong digital marketing and/or events management knowledge and expertise.
