Responsibilities
- Provide overall team direction and management to realise the project objectives and activities as required by the Superintending Officer and consultants, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highest technical and safety standards
- Assist the Superintending Officer in contract administration and construction management
- Review Contractors’ proposal, method statements and designs, etc
- To assist QP(S) and QP(Geo) in reviewing the construction proposals and implement supervision oversight of the construction works
- Lead the RTOs to check all drawings, Overview of the quality system implementation, materials approval and compliance testing procedures
- To provide overview of WSH and aerodrome safety management systems and risk analyses and implementation of safe working practices on site
- Manage interface points between packages of work, scope of work and that of other parties working on site, Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion
- Prepare necessary progress and status report
- To ensure emergency preparedness protocols are adhered to by the contractors during trial runs or actual emergencies
- Monitor and report to the Superintending Officer and consultants on quality, workmanship, WSH safety, security, housekeeping and public relationship
- Carry out inspections and assist in taking over of completed works, Coordinate and compile the As-Built information for record purposes timely
- Monitor the quality and progress of rectification works when necessary
- Handle and manage staff HR and welfare matters of the Supervision Team including training, deployment of staff, shift rostering, overtime, leave approvals, staff performance appraisal reports and staff development
Requirements
- The RE-Geotechnical shall have minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a geotechnical engineer, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works in bored piling and temporary works
- The RE- Geotechnical shall possess a Geotechnical engineering degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
- The RE- Geotechnical shall be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
- The RE-Geotechnical has developed a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
- The RE-Geotechnical will lead site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works
- Possesses strong supervision and leadership skills, must be willing to do shift work.
