Responsibilities
- To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act
- To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions.
- To check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person
- To check on quality of materials and samples delivered to site and report to Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications.
- To ensure emergency preparedness protocols are adhered to by the contractors during trial runs or actual emergencies.
- To ensure that proper and updated records of all works
- To ensure that the contractors maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site at all times. Report all safety violations. Ensure that the contractor carries out proper safety rectifications before proceeding with the affected works.
- To be conversant with all procedures in the “Airside works Procedures Manual”, Airport Operational and Safety (AOS) requirements”, and Workplace Safety & Health Manual.
Requirements
- The RTO-C&S shall have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works in bored piling and temporary works
- The RTO-C&S shall preferably possess a Diploma from Polytechnic or relevant qualifications.
- The RTO-C&S shall be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
- The RTO-C&S shall have a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
- The RTO-C&S has developed a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
- Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
- Pro-active in resolving and managing site issue with good team spirit.
