Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager provides management-level leadership and guidance to the Management, in addition to performing all of the day-to-day HR functions. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for talent acquisition, diversity initiatives, internal staffing, on-boarding, conditions of employment, retention of staff, benefits, health management programming, performance appraisals, and setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Formulate, review, and implement effective HR policies and procedures that are in line with the organization’s goals and objectives
· Ensure compliance to Employment Act legislation changes and update policies, and reporting requirements by various government authorities.
· Maintain knowledge of employment laws, industry trends, and innovative HR best practices; ensure compliance and excellence in all aspects of the employment relationship.
· Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
· Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
· Oversee day-to-day HR operations to ensure smooth operations relating to employees; On-boarding, off-boarding, employee benefits, payroll, insurances, work passes, etc.
· Identify and execute improvements to current programmes and processes.
· Administration of the performance management cycle on Company’s rewards programmes, eg. Variable incentives, Long-Term incentives.
· Drive employee engagement and wellness programmes
· Partner with hiring managers and/or recruiters on hiring and selection of candidates from junior to mid-level positions.
· Manage the new joiner’s orientation programme.
· Participate in M&A pre-transaction work, where necessary
· Assess current state readiness, identify implementation plan, and lead/participate in implementation
· Ad-hoc duties assigned by the management..
Requirements
· Degree in related field (i.e Human Resource, Business Administration.
· At least 5 years of related HR work experience, especially in HR management & operations, including compensation & benefits, employment practices, regulations, performance management , etc
· Experienced with China Entities, state-owned enterprises in China will be added advantage
· Demonstrates excellent multi-tasking, organization and prioritisation skills
· Ability to excel in a start-up, fast-paced and demanding environment.
· Structured-thinking and detail-oriented
· Excellent communication and interpersonal management skills
· Bilingual in both English & Chinese
