Responsibilities
- · Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- · Monitor changes in legislation and communicate updates to project teams.
- · Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments for construction projects.
- Develop and implement mitigation measures to address potential environmental risks.
- Integrate Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles into construction activities.
- Collaborate with HSSE teams to enhance overall project safety.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess environmental conditions and HSSE compliance.
- Identify and address any non-compliance or safety hazards promptly.
- Implement erosion and sediment control measures on construction sites.
- Monitor and manage stormwater runoff to prevent environmental degradation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive waste management plans for construction sites.
- Ensure proper disposal and recycling practices, aligning with HSSE standards.
- Implement measures to protect and preserve local flora and fauna.
- Collaborate with environmental agencies to support biodiversity conservation efforts.
- Communicate environmental plans, HSSE protocols, and initiatives to project stakeholders.
- Address inquiries and concerns related to environmental and safety matters.
- Provide training sessions on environmental awareness and HSSE protocols for construction personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Maintain accurate records of environmental and HSSE activities and compliance.
- Prepare regular reports on environmental performance and safety metrics for internal and regulatory purposes.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in constructions industry
- Experience in PUB / LTA projects.
- Registered ECMO & ECO
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, HSSE standards, and best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
