Main responsibilities
Team Head
- Team head – overall supervision, strategize, plan and oversee the team.
- Advisory role to contribute through sponsors on possible IT solutions as well as impact on existing legacy.
- Advisory role to Head of Section on overall resourcing and team dynamics.
- Support and execution role to Head of Section for priority initiatives.
- Team organization – recruitment/hiring of new staffs or replacement, project/resourcing organization, alignment with Paris Delivery management, orchestrate and oversee architecture orientation of all solutions, cost estimations of projects, etc.
- Setup and track individual team member KPI with proper audit trail by reviewing on fixed intervals and incase of improvements needed, to propose improvement plans with member
- Discover and groom talents within the team, plan for succession and redundancy.
- Create team culture and condition to promote and maintain good level of staff motivation.
Qualifications and Profile
This position requires a minimum of 10+ years of relevant IT experiences of leading software delivery, team management, ideally in a banking environment with the following:
- Preferred atleast 5+ years development experience in one of the following languages: C, Java, Golang.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing an IT development team.
- Strong experience in designing and delivering green field projects.
- Strong experience in micro-service architecture is preferred.
- Experienced in various E2E technological parameters from Spring Framework, Docker/Kubernetes, Storm, Kafka, HBASE, ElasticSearch.
- Excellent understanding and proven experience on quality code deliverables and working with platforms like Sonarqube/GIT.
- Practical experience on working with application servers like Jboss, Jetty, Webphere.
- Experienced in solution design using proven patterns, awareness of anti-patterns, performance tuning.
Functional:
- Financial/banking industry knowledge is strong plus.
- Knowledge of Cash Management systems is a strong plus – e.g.ISO20022, Business validations, Payments flow, etc.
