You Need To.........
- Receive incoming seafood shipments, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, and conduct inspections for freshness and compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies
- Ensure proper storage and handling of seafood products to maintain quality and prevent contamination, including temperature monitoring, FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation, and proper packaging
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, picking and packing seafood products according to order specifications and delivery schedules
- Coordinate outbound shipments, prepare shipping documentation, and arrange transportation to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper handling of seafood, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintenance of a clean and safe work environment
- Provide guidance and supervision to warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings in warehouse operations, and implement best practices accordingly
You need to have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the food industry
- Knowledge of seafood processing and handling procedures is highly desirable
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
