The client is one of the world's top multinational chemical producers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate closely with 3PL service providers to ensure they meet performance goals and improve operations and costs.
- Collaborate with business units, legal, and EHS departments on trade controls.
- Communicate with government regulatory agencies regarding statutory requirements.
- Work with business units on SOPs, improvement projects, and specific needs.
- Ensure 3PL compliance with safety guidelines and conduct audits.
- Manage insurance coverage and claims processes.
- Conduct audits and checks at 3PL to ensure adherence to rules.
- Manage non-conformances and implement corrective measures.
- Support logistics procurement activities and act as a backup for the logistics team.
- Assist in small-value procurement processes for logistics services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Logistics Management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, particularly in warehousing, distribution, and transport management, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements preferred.
- Experience in handling dangerous goods is a plus.
- Regional experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and SAP.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Must be able to travel to the warehouse (West) at least once a month.
