Your Role
You are a member of the Singapore Life/Health team, reporting directly to the Head of CI Analytics – Regional Research & Analytics, Asia Life/Health. You will drive Gen Re’s CI Data Insights Study (Dread Disease Survey) which includes the project management of industry studies for selected markets in Asia and thereby supporting Gen Re’s efforts in maintaining a leading position in long-term health business in the region.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Project manage Gen Re’s CI Data Insights study in selected markets in Asia, ensuring timely completion of the study and that survey results are valuable and relevant to the participating companies and Gen Re
- Presenting and communicating survey results to internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Conduct medical and actuarial research work to assess feasibility of various possible pricing solutions
- Assist in the setup and development of pricing basis and best estimates for the region
- Participate in regional and international initiatives and projects
Your Profile
- Relevant qualification with at least 5 years work experience in a life insurance or reinsurance company, preferably in pricing
- Sound knowledge of Asian life insurance markets and in at least one risk product such as Critical Illness or Health
- Actuarial designation (FIA, FSA, FCAS, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Python and R is required
- Knowledge of RDBMS such as SQL is preferred
- Knowledge of Posit application deployment is an added advantage
- As your responsibilities are focusing on Asia markets which include but not limited to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with clients and market specific analysis research.
